The journey from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to Saint-Tropez covers approximately 105 km and takes between 1h30 and 2h30, depending on traffic conditions.
The fastest route is via the A8 highway towards Toulon/Aix-en-Provence, exiting at Le Muy (exit 36). This section of the highway is tolled, costing around €7 to €9, depending on the vehicle category. From there, the D25 leads to Sainte-Maxime, where you continue on the D559 to reach Saint-Tropez.
During peak season, traffic congestion is common, especially between Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez. To avoid delays, you can take the D48 via the Col de Gratteloup, a scenic and quieter alternative. This drive also offers stunning landscapes. A stop in Sainte-Maxime provides a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, while a detour through Gassin, one of France’s most beautiful hilltop villages, offers an exceptional panorama.
